Residents of Mui Ward in Mwingi Central Sub-County have expressed confidence in Governor Dr. Julius Malombe’s 16-sector development agenda.
The residents, led by their MCA Hon. Cornelius Muthami, vowed that no amount of detraction will stifle their resolve to embrace meaningful and transformative development spearheaded by the county administration.
They commended Governor Malombe for fostering inclusive, transparent, accountable and equitable public service delivery in line with “The Kitui Promise” development master plan.
The locals made the declaration during a grassroot leaders’ meeting held at Mathuki market which was graced by the Chief Officer for Finance John Makau Kimwele.
They further thanked the County Chief for the numerous complete and ongoing water, roads, health, education, empowerment and agriculture projects his administration has undertaken in the Ward besides the rest of the Kitui.
“We have absolute confidence in Governor Malombe and his government. We demand that he be respected and allowed the opportunity to deliver on his agenda for the Kitui electorate,” they maintained.
On his part, CO Kimwele thanked the residents for entrusting Governor Malombe with the County’s top job and assured them of dedicated service delivery.
“Governor Malombe and his government are privileged to be at your service. We promise that we will not disappoint you. We will tirelessly implement projects and programs geared towards the socioeconomic prosperity of our great county,” emphasized the Chief Officer.
Hon. Muthami affirmed the County Assembly’s support for Governor Malombe’s development agenda and reiterated that the two arms of government were keen on working closely for the benefit of the residents.
