On the 12th of April 2024, the Kamba Visionaries Association (KVA), under the leadership of Chairman Hon. Hillary Katee Wa Ndana and Secretary General Victor Kyalo CashFlow, joined forces with Kyalo kya maendeeo Patron, Hon. Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, to embark on a monumental tree planting initiative in Kitui Central.

With a goal to plant over 10,000 trees, this event marks a significant step towards environmental conservation and community empowerment in the region.The Kamba Visionaries Association, boasting members from Kitui, Machakos, and Makueni, has been championing tree planting initiatives since 2015.

This latest endeavor underscores their unwavering commitment to sustainable development and ecosystem restoration across Ukambani.

The tree planting activities were conducted in various locations including Muslim in township, Ithookwe, Unyaa, Tiva, and Itokeka. Tomorrow, on Saturday, KVA will continue their green mission in Kwa Ukungu and Kasyala, culminating in a grand launch event at Ngiini primary school.

This coordinated effort reflects the collective dedication of KVA members towards fostering a greener, healthier environment for generations to come.The success of this initiative hinges on the generosity and support of KVA members, who have contributed trees and other essential resources to drive the cause forward.

Their selfless contributions serve as a testament to the power of community-driven action in tackling environmental challenges.Moreover, KVA’s influence has extended beyond Ukambani, with recent expansion into the Shimba hills in the Coastal region.

With over 500,000 trees already planted across the three Ukambani counties, KVA remains steadfast in their commitment to expanding green spaces and promoting biodiversity conservation.Notably, the involvement of the Kitui county security team, led by County Commissioner Kipchumba Ruto, underscores the importance of collaboration between government institutions and grassroots organizations in achieving shared environmental goals.
