The National Assembly Budget Committee, chaired by *Hon. Dr. Benson Makali Mulu, PhD, MP for Kitui Central* , alongside Hon. Robi Mathews Nyamabe, MP for Kuria West, extended their public participation initiative to the coastal city of Mombasa, meeting with Governor Abdulswamad Nassir.

This visit is part of a nationwide campaign to involve all 47 counties in the budget-making process for the forthcoming financial year, emphasizing the fair distribution of national resources. The committee’s approach is a testament to their dedication to a transparent and inclusive fiscal strategy that takes into account the diverse needs of Kenya’s regions.

In Mombasa, the focus was on understanding the unique challenges and opportunities of the county, ensuring that the local perspectives are integrated into the national budget.
