Kitui West politics is taking a new shape as Vincent Munyoki, founder of the Vincent Munyoki Foundation, gains significant grassroots support ahead of the 2027 parliamentary elections.
Munyoki is said to be the leading candidate poised to challenge incumbent MP Edith Nyenze, with many residents rallying behind his philanthropic initiatives.
Meanwhile, former UDA aspirant Hon. Benedict Muasya, who was recently appointed as a Commissioner at the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) by President William Ruto, is reportedly losing influence in Kitui West politics due to his focus on national duties.
The 2027 race promises to be highly competitive, with Munyoki’s growing popularity setting the stage for a heated battle.
