Mutha MCA Hon. Dominic Ismael Mwamisi Joins Pursuit to Recover Stolen Livestock


In a commendable display of community engagement and commitment to addressing security concerns, Hon. Dominic Ismael Mwamisi, a Member of the County Assembly (MCA) for Mutha Ward in Kitui County, recently joined a security team in pursuit of stolen livestock in the Tulima areas of Ngaani, Mutha Ward.

The mission, which unfolded on the 5th of December 2023, led the team through challenging terrains, spanning Bagalel, Kaniki, and ultimately concluding in Nguanwo in Enziu Sublocation, Endau Malalami Ward. Fortunately, the dedicated efforts of the security team bore fruit as they successfully recovered 45 out of the 47 stolen heads of livestock.

Addressing the press, Hon. Dominic Ismael Mwamisi highlighted the importance of community collaboration and the role of local leaders in ensuring the security and well-being of residents. He emphasized the significance of promptly addressing issues such as livestock theft to safeguard the livelihoods of the community members.

Despite the success in recovering the majority of the stolen livestock, the herdsman responsible for the theft remains elusive. The search efforts are ongoing, reflecting the determination of the community and the security team to bring the perpetrator to justice.

In a heartfelt plea, Hon. Mwamisi requested the community to unite in prayers for the safe return of Pius Ndaka, the missing herdsman. The uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts adds a layer of concern to the situation, and the community hopes for his safe return.
