Machakos, May 29, 2024 — In a significant move, the Machakos County Assembly has approved the formation of a selection panel tasked with recruiting the Secretary of the Machakos County Public Service Board. The decision was made during a special sitting chaired by Speaker Hon. Anne Kiusya.
The Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) unanimously approved the report presented by the Appointments Committee. The Vice Chairperson of the Appointments Committee, Hon. Stephen Mwanthi, who is also the MCA for Ekalakala Ward, tabled the report. The approved panel comprises five nominees:
1. Gregory Kivua
2. Nelson Osiemo Wanyonyi
3. John Mwangi Thiong’o
4. Ruth John
5. Deborah Muya
This approval marks a pivotal step in strengthening the administrative framework of the Machakos County Public Service Board.
