The Ministry of Lands, Housing, and Urban Development led by the County Executive Committee Member (CECM), Hon. Mr. Kimanga, officially handed over the Kiusyani Dustless Project to the contractor on behalf of Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe.
The KSh 30 million project, which falls under the county’s urban development initiative, is set to transform Kiusyani Market in Kwa Vonza Ward, Kitui Rural. The project aims to improve urban infrastructure, enhancing accessibility and reducing dust pollution in the growing market center.
Hon. Kimanga, accompanied by a high-profile delegation from the county government, was hosted by the area MCA, Hon. Mark Nding’o, who commended Governor Malombe for prioritizing the Dustless Project in Kiusyani. He noted that the project would significantly improve the town’s status and attract more economic activities.
Also present at the event were Chief Officer Eng. Chamia and Chief Officer Evans Mutemi, who delivered keynote speeches emphasizing the county government’s commitment to infrastructure development.
Speaking during the site handover, Hon. Kimanga reiterated Governor Malombe’s dedication to service delivery in Kwa Vonza Ward and across Kitui County. He assured residents that the county government remains committed to enhancing urban centers, making them more livable and business-friendly.
The Kiusyani Dustless Project marks a major milestone in the county’s development agenda, and its completion is expected to bring lasting benefits to the local community.
