Kwa Vonza Member of Kitui County Assembly, Hon. Mark Nding’o, officially handed over a newly constructed sump well at Kalawa Village on Monday. The well, located at Tiva River in Kiliko, Nyanyaa Ndunguni location, is part of an irrigation cluster project aimed at providing water to the local community.
The project, which is funded by the Kitui County Government under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe EGH, will initially serve the residents of Kalawa Village. Plans are underway to extend the pipeline upwards to Kiliko Market to benefit even more people. This initiative is expected to significantly improve access to water for both domestic and agricultural use in the region.
