The County Government of Kitui and B2 Yatta Ranching Cooperative Society Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote agricultural development, industrialization, tourism, environmental conservation, and infrastructure growth.
Presided over by Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, the MoU outlines joint efforts in constructing access roads, drilling boreholes, connecting electricity, and building earth dams on land leased to the Society by the County. The partnership also includes plans to establish a police post to enhance security and support tourism.

Governor Malombe emphasized the County’s commitment to using technology and value addition to strengthen the Society’s activities. The County Ministry of Environment will lead tree-planting initiatives to restore degraded land and prevent encroachment.
B2 Yatta recently ceded 1,500 acres near Kanyonyoo Town for the ongoing construction of the Kitui County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP), a key project aimed at boosting agro-industrial growth, job creation, and farmer incomes.
This MoU signals a major step toward sustainable development and economic transformation in Kitui County.
