Former Kitui County Chief of Staff, Mr. Chrispus Ileli, has called on the residents of Kitui to rally behind President William Ruto’s administration for enhanced development and resource allocation. Speaking during the burial of Charles Kyalo Mbuvi at Unyaa Grounds in Kitui Central, Mr. Ileli underscored the need for the community to align with the national government to secure its share of development opportunities.
“As a community, we can’t afford to be in the opposition. We must support President Ruto, who has demonstrated his commitment to the well-being of Kenyans,” said Mr. Ileli.
He highlighted the Social Health Authority (SHA) program as a significant step in transforming healthcare access and urged residents to enroll to secure health coverage. “The SHA program is a transformative initiative. I encourage everyone to register and ensure their healthcare needs are met,” he added.
Mr. Ileli also commended President Ruto’s swift response to public concerns over the Adani energy deal, describing the move as a testament to responsive and responsible leadership.
On matters of infrastructure and development, Mr. Ileli emphasized the importance of aligning with the national government to benefit from flagship projects, including the Kibwezi-Migwani-Mbondoni Road, Thwake Dam, and Konza City. “We can’t be stuck at the gate of these transformative projects while others are sharing the benefits inside the sitting room. This is our chance to join the government of the day and secure our share of the national cake
