Supermarkets, particularly Naivas Kitui, witnessed such a massive influx of customers that the store had to temporarily close in the afternoon due to being overwhelmed.
Fuel stations sold millions of liters of fuel as Kitui town and its outskirts transformed into a bustling car bazaar. Local vendors, including the hardworking “mama mbogas,” “mama matundas,” and “mama pimas,” enjoyed a significant boost in sales as thousands of customers flocked to their stalls.
Bodaboda operators also reaped the benefits of the show, riding home with their pockets full and Mpesa accounts bursting. The event proved lucrative for these operators, highlighting the economic impact on local businesses.
Schoolchildren enjoyed unforgettable experiences, leading many to pen poems and essays praising the revitalized show and Governor Malombe for his role in reviving the trade fair.
